TuckStep is designed for standard base cabinets in 12", 15", and 18" widths. You need a minimum interior depth of 22" and 6" of vertical clearance at the bottom of the cabinet. Most standard kitchen base cabinets meet these requirements. If you're unsure, our team can help you measure.
The 15" and 18" models support up to 300 lbs. The compact 12" model supports up to 250 lbs. The steel frame and hardwood treads are tested well beyond these ratings for safety. We recommend it for adults and supervised children.
If you can mount a drawer slide, you can install TuckStep. It takes about 25 minutes with basic tools (screwdriver, level, tape measure). No cutting, drilling through cabinet panels, or permanent modifications required. We include a step-by-step guide with every unit.
TuckStep includes an integrated child safety lock that prevents the unit from being pulled out without an adult releasing the mechanism. When deployed, the auto-lock holds the steps firmly in place. That said, children should always be supervised when using any step ladder.
